Vancrest was founded in 1960 by Dr. E. E. White who opened one of Ohio’s first geriatric hospitals in the former Van Wert County Hospital. His vision was to deliver high-quality, person-centered care to a growing senior population — a mission that continues to guide us today through our C.A.R.E. values: Customer Focused, Attitude, Responsibility, and Empathy. Vancrest remains family-owned, led by Dr. White’s son Mark White, and continues to provide compassionate, community-based care close to home.

Today, Vancrest operates 13 combined assisted living and long-term care communities across western Ohio, serving more than 900 nursing residents and 350 assisted living residents.

We provide a seamless continuum of care through our integrated affiliates: Therapy Solutions — Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy in our facilities and in your home. Fountain Park Home Care — Personalized, one-on-one care in the comfort of your home.
